Forest school & home

Combining a home forest school business and a play area for elementary school children, we designed four different areas: front yard, constructed play, natural play and screening with forest regeneration. Local materials, native and edible plants and many trees ground this project on a beautiful rolling site.

Meadow and forest

A new purchase with an over abundance of lawn, in this project we removed more than half of the existing lawn and planted a meadow in the front yard and a young forest in the back to screen neighbors. Turf removal, custom seed mixes and tree and shrub planting implemented over several years brings this residence to life every season of the year

pollinator garden

This client wanted to remove invasive plants under an existing canopy near his perimeter rock wall and replace it with a pollinator garden. We executed this with mechanical pulling, sheet mulching and smothering and then came back and planted perennials, shrubs, ferns and trees to create this habitat-rich pollinator garden with seasonal interest..
