We are committed to transforming lawn areas into rich native habitats. Bringing birds, butterflies and beautiful plants into our everyday experience is part of how landscapes improve our quality of life.  This project transformed 2/3 of the lawn area into a native meadow and mini-woodland in the middle of historic Guilford.

What we’ve accomplished:

1.

Replaced turf grass with a dynamic meadow and woodland environment. Provide seasonal interest to the owner, community and created an evolving landscape that matures over many years.

2.

Created a landscape that requires seasonal maintenance instead of weekly maintenance and no fertilizers, pesticides or irrigation.

3.

Contribution to the Homegrown National Park movement in our effort to “plant native to rebuild the ecosystems that support all life, and restore the vital connections between plants and animals for a healthier, thriving planet.” - Doug Tallamy
