Habitat Gardens - Woodlands & Meadows
We are committed to transforming lawn areas into rich native habitats. Bringing birds, butterflies and beautiful plants into our everyday experience is part of how landscapes improve our quality of life. Here are a few examples of Gardens designed with beauty, habitat creation, water conservation and native plants in mind.

Natural Areas - Parks & Play Spaces

We encourage families and children to engage with nature by making natural areas beautiful, inviting and accessible for all. These projects transform previously under occupied lawn areas, industrial areas and neglected areas into destinations and rich local habitats.

Prospect Park Alliance - Lead Landscape Architect
Before founding Rubus Landscape Architecture, I was the lead Landscape Architect at the Prospect Park Alliance in Brooklyn NY. There I worked with Christian Zimmerman on both large and small projects, from the $72 million LeFrak Center at Lakeside and $10 million Shelby White and Leon Levy Esplanade to the classic Vanderbilt Playground and Long Meadow Ballfields. These foundational projects introduced me to the world of Landscape Architecture.
